education and nvironment

Environmental education as a tool for awareness.

Its history can be briefly described by the following steps:

1968 - Founded as the Club of Rome brings together scientists, economists and senior government officials from several countries to analyze the world situation and make predictions and solutions for the future (in an ecological perspective, the global system). The studies and proposals of informal association, sponsored by the Volkswagen Foundation, the first report of this organization was published in 1972 under the title: “The Limits of Growth.”

They pointed out some factors that could lead a global crisis ever seen:

Any child that has a need for guided education whether it is because of a mental or physical disability deserves to have the same chance in life and school as other children. Sometimes when a parent knows their child needs regulated special guidance on education, they don’t want their child to be singled out. They don’t want to have to have special arrangements. They want their child to be given attention without losing the same equality as other students.

For most children, pupils and students it is completely natural for them to spend most of their weekdays in the school environment. This is even more true of those children that attend a boarding school, therefore providing the right type of opportunity and stimulation within this environment is crucial to ensure all school age children are cared for and given the opportunity to grow.

Obviously the type of environment will vary depending upon the age of the school pupil, but some elements remain consistent throughout a pupil’s entire school life. However the right type of education and environment is perhaps most delicate during a child’s younger years. This is where private preparatory schools come into their own.

Teenagers are generally at a very delicate stage in their lives. They may encounter all sorts of personality problems because they are at a stage when they have to know themselves more if they are to form an identity that they are comfortable with. These youngsters usually experiment with different activities, levels of friendship and even sexual orientations. Sometimes, during these times of uncertainty in a young person’s life, their studies are affected. This becomes a reason for them to either perform poorly in their academics or abandon school altogether. When this happens, parents have the option to enroll their kids in a therapeutic school.

Educational psychology is much researched in recent years to further understand the student-teachers’ behaviour in educational settings. While students’ motivation, good teachers and effective lessons remain crucial in the learning environment, recent complex issues such as constructivism, out-of-school influence and classroom diversity should be taken into context. The question here is: How do constructivism, out-of-school influence and student diversity influence recent learning environment?
